A very Special Photoshoot | a Dream Photoshoot in Paris

In June 2017 I decided to go to Paris. After a few days, Francis followed me for a photoshoot. It seemed amazing to give a way a photoshoot at our event: Women Only on the 9th of September. A dream photoshoot and if you like an amazing one in Paris!

We go to bed early the night before the phot shoot. The alarm clock is set for 5.30. The next day we wake up when the alarm goes of. After four beautiful sunny days it is pretty dark and gloomy, but it is still early.

Just before 6.00 a.m. I walk out of the hotel with my dress, coat and my running shoes on. We take the metro, to the La Motte-Picquet stop. When we get off at the Trocadéro, it is already quite busy. We ask the lady of a small kiosk, that is just opening, what time you have to come to have the place to yourself. It is now 6:30. “Then you have to come at least one hour earlier,” she replies.

I take off my coat and shoes and pose for the camera. How wonderful is this, on my bare feet on the Trocadéro! You can not describe this with a pen. I walk carefully back and forth. Next time, when we will be here with a customer, we make sure to bring some beautiful shoes. I then have to arrange for a possiblity to change clothing. This can be so, so special!

We walk down the stairs. There are about six teams actively photographing. Changing clothes takes place behind a curtain. There is also a group with balloons. It is amazing to see the people being photographed and their photograpers! Unfortunately, there is quite a bit of glass on the bottom square near the water, we take a few pictures before I put back on my sneakers. We walk back upstairs and walk onto the Avenue du President Wilson. We keep photographing the whole way. It is truly magical!

At Pont Alexandre III we stay a little longer. The sun is now pretty bright. I squint my eyes: you can see that on the pictures. It is convenient to take something with us next time we go, to keep the brightest light out of the eyes of the customer.

Eventually we arrive at the Jardin des Tuileries. Here it is nice and quiet. We take a few photos in the park before we walk to the Place Vendôme. Here it is a lot busier. The images become less interesting, so it is time to go back to the hotel. Then we have a delicious breakfast. We will certainly have a nice breakfast with our customers too.

Paris, the city of light; this is the place where it all happens! When I get back home, I put a few pictures online on Facebook, many women react enthusiastically.  And I can only say: GO FOR IT! I will never, ever forget this!

  • And then it was time to go on the set. Would I really do it? I could still go back. No!!! I had come this far… Nobody knew about this photoshoot, except this good friend and I certainly did not want to disappoint him. ...

  • On the the few pictures that have been taken of me, I always smile. Now I wanted some different images. Julia Roberts, Audrey Hepburn, Jennifer Lopez, Michelle Pfeiffer ... all women who show their power without a huge smile on their faces....

  • What is it, that women don't see in themselves? It has everything to do with taking yourself seriously. We should take ourselves, our dreams, wishes and talents very seriously. Your talent is as important to ensure that life is truly equal for all women around the world!...
